The ALPO Youth Program is devoted to the education of young astronomers in the fields of Lunar and Planetary Observing. Learning how to use your telescope, and the capabilities of YOU as an observer is an exciting aspect of amateur astronomy.
The ALPO is a worldwide organization of people interested in studying the Solar System. The Sun, Moon, Planets, Comets, Asteroids, Meteors, and other Solar System phenomena can be observed and studied by even young amateur astronomers. Our section seeks to show young observers that our Solar System is not composed of static, unchanging bodies but rather dynamic and evolving worlds where they can offer their observations as they learn about it.
