Dear observers,
Yesterday I had a first view of comet ZTF. It is high in Hercules and around 12.5 mag now. This seems not too bright, but the comet is well condensed. With my 12 inch Dobsonian I saw a shock front and hints of the tail (com was fuzzy in that direction).
The comet is expected getting 4 mag in the first day of January. It will be well-placed in Corona Borealis then. It is time starting the observations of this beautiful comet.
