C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) 2020-Jul-15 Mark Shapiro

NW horizon allowed me to spot the comet naked eye from my home at 9:28PM EDT on 7-14-20. I followed it into the murk with 7x35 binoculars until 9:55 PM EDT, when I went in to get my lovely bride to see the ISS fly over at 10PM EDT. I had a very distinct impression that the tail appeared longer than on 7-12-20; perhaps because it is getting closer to the Earth in retrospective consideration? Also, it was difficult to make a good estimate of magnitude due to sky brightness and also elevation (< 7°), but I'm estimate +2.5-ish.

Without my car to lean on, I was severely constrained in ability to capture images of reasonable exposure. So as poor as it is (and visally it was MUCH better!!), here is the best one from last night. SONY DSC-HX400V 9:43PM EDT, 7-14-20, ISO 3200, f/4, 0.62 second exposure hand held.
