This 14th magnitude object, currently near its brightest is also the location of the Rosetta spacecraft and has been on my list of comets to shoot for a long time! An unexpected ray in the tail, which is composed of dust for the most part can be easily seen in this image, which spans some half a degree tall. Seeing was poor, but the sky was dark and transparent. The comet is in Leo, near M95 and rides low in the eastern sky at 3am this morning.
