12P/Pons-Brooks 2024-Apr-02 Chris Schur

Hello Everyone, the comet has brightened significantly over the past 3 days, and the nucleus is now very bright and stellar. The tail morphology has also changed a great deal, with the ion tail splitting, and multiple gas streamers from the coma. Even the dust tail is stronger now, however is the same basic fan shape. It is easy naked eye now, and shows at least 3 degrees of tail in the binoculars.
