473P/NEAT 2024-Mar-05 Gianluca Masi

Dear All,

last night, while imaging comet 12P with a large fov, I spotted a greenish object on the same image, which resulted to be comet 473P/Neat.

While I need to learn how to properly measure these OSC images, the object is at least 2 mags brighter than in the ephemerides.

Very likely nothing of interest, but I preferred to share this with you.

I attach a picture, taken on 5 Mar. 2024, 18:44:40 UTC, coming from a total of 10 minutes of integration. A 135mm-f2.4 lens was used, with a ZWO ASI6200MC Pro color camera.

The bright star on the left is 29 And.
