C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) 2023-Aug-21 Michel Besson

To locate the comet this morning 4:30 LT (UTC+2), I find with binoculars of 100 a small formation of 6 stars (a small boreal crown like) with as bright star 63 Gem of magnitude 5.23. The comet should be at 1°52 according to SKY and south of this formation but still hidden by trees.
At 4:55 LT, still progressing with binoculars, I find HD 59828 of m 6.8 and HD 59784 of m 8.11 at 45’38 from the comet.

According to SKY another star HD 60384 of magnitude 8.93 and visible located at 17'23 from C/2023 P1 the comet should be in the field. It is 5:03 a.m LT. The comet is diffuse, circular, without a slightly lighter tail on the centrality. Next to it stands out a bright point, checking on SKY a trio of unresolved stars with binoculars whose main TYC 1372-0689-1 of magnitude 10.95 allows me to estimate the magnitude of the comet at around 10.

It is already 5:20 a.m. LT, the light of day is lighting up the sky and the comet is becoming more and more discreet, its observation will have lasted only 20 mm but will leave a good memory.
