C/2021 Y1 (ATLAS) 2022-Nov-22 Dan Bartlett

Quite a messy field and the best I could do...
C/2021 Y1 (ATLAS) slid past Aldebaran on the 19th & 20th, when Todd (midmoastro) emailed a question about a greenish artifact (possibly caused by Aldebaran) from his imaging session. I had just arrived at my location, and setup the scope. Bringing the passage of conjunction to my attention I decided to hit the area myself on the 22, and the23rd. Aldebaran does introduce glaring artifacts to the telescope field. I'll publish the data (if the high clouds haven't ruined the stacking) from the 23rd where I've shifted the field to include more of the Hyades.

Thanks Todd for the heads up.

Dan
