Comet Leonard C/2021 another apparent outburst
Tonight the observing conditions with Tucson's persistent haze were better and the comet is a little higher and dusk comes a few minutes earlier for next two days. Tonight was the first time in the past days I could easily see green around the comet nucleus with my eyes. COBS reports the comet is in the mid 3s mag at the time of this capture. My impression is that Leonard is brighter tonight than the prior night.

This image is 35 x 4 sec stacked with AstroPixelProcessor and finished with Photoshop. The images were captured with a Vixen VSD 100 telescope on a Vixen SXP mount, with a Baader IR cur filter and a Nikon 7II camera.
