Dealing with daily thunderstorms, moon and weird consequences of weather (smoke) here in California, I went back to this complex region around Gamma Ori when comet C/2020 M3 Atlas passed by. This was a multi night event back in November 2020. My previous attempts at combining the 74 x 180sec lights was a disaster (never published) and this one, just above average.

The gas complex, bright star halo around Bellatrix , the subtilties of the comet moving over a three and a half hour period as well as a contrast in colors means I need improvement in all areas of capture.

Interesting note - Top left of the image is the edge of the Lambda Ori Ha complex. I was surprised to see the density, color and complexity of gas and dust in this area. I should have predicted - Orion!
