C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) 2020-Jul-12 Mark Shapiro

We finally had complete clear skies this morning, 7-12-20. I took the 10x50s to see the comet - even very low in a dark sky through whatever humidity there was the tail was at least 3° long and prominent. Quite a thrilling comet!!
 
I so need to get a better camera!! My distinct impression of the SONY DSC-HX400V is: it is a glorified cellphone camera... 

Encouragingly, the comet seems to only have dimmed a bit, now perhaps a bit less bright than Menkalinen (Beta Aurigae). Hopefully this trend of slower dimming will continue into the evening apparition!
