Settling on one imaging train ATM, comet Olbers has passed the Earth's MOID on or about the 20th of this month. The moon has just allowed for a quick imaging session as the thunder storms cleared for a nice night. The comet appeared as an obvious fan shaped cloud in a pair of 18 x 50 binoculars. Very easy to spot as one scans the skies in the general area. To me the comet looked brighter than I've ever seen her. I've just completed tonight's imaging session with processing to follow shortly.
